Moody Aesthetic represents myself & my husband Donny, carpenter. We’ve combined my love of architecture and design and his knowledge of carpentry and building skills, which makes us the perfect building, renovation & styling duo!

The people we work with are either planning to build, renovate or need help with a cosmetic/structural makeover. From colour and furniture selections, sketches, floor plans, timber frames, to designer kitchens, decks and retaining walls… we do it ALL!

About The Owner, Melissa Rettore

Mel’s passion for Interiors and teaching runs over a decade deep! A fascination with spatial design and the effects a design has on mood and behaviour, motivated Mel to make the career leap from primary school teaching to interior design. When she’s not busy designing and styling houses, she’s teaching and inspiring others. Mel is an Educator of Interior Decoration & Styling at Design School Melbourne.

Offering client’s an exciting peek into their custom-designed spaces, Mel’s interior watercolour and hand-rendered sketches have featured amazing homes like that of Jen Bishop of Interior’s Addict. Not only does she do all this, she also collaborates on projects with Temple & Webster and other big names in Australian interior design.

From working 1:1 with you on your dream house, to creating e-designs if you have a smaller budget but big ideas. Melissa is always looking at how she can best work with you, to create your have a moody aesthetic interior or exterior.
